I spent 11 days in Cape Town for my honeymoon, but this weekend tour was definitely the highlight of my honeymoon trip. The group I was with was so fun and energetic that it made the hours long road trip know enjoyable.
The Cango Caves were beautiful and exciting. However I don't think it's for really big people or for people who are claustrophobic. It's more for young thrill seekers who are capable of crawling through small crawl spaces.
And then there were the gigantic orphaned elephants who are very gentle. Make sure you don't wear your best outfits because you're gonna get elephant snot all over your clothes, face, and mouth. They're a little....too friendly.
And of course there's the bungee jumping. My wife was hesitant and too scared to try it at first but after seeing me jump off the bridge (and survived), she gave it a shot and she had the time of her life. Now she wants to do it every year.
And the rooms were gorgeous. The Buffelsdrift Game Lodge and The Wilderness hotel next to the ocean was beautiful. The safari was nice, especially for first timers. Of course it's nothing compared to Kruger National Park or the Serengeti. But that was my first time going on a game reserve drive and I was not disappointed seeing so many animals up close and personal.
I highly recommend it for young honeymooners who are thrill seekers, and who love nature and animals.
